My biggest post so far, let’s dive right into it:
The lake of Tegernsee was ultimately on top of our list of places to visit in Bavaria. If someone had given us a warning about the (dis)comfort of the train journey, we probably would have decided to get up significantly earlier (this would result in a much smaller group of dedicated explorers).
Upon arrival, it was very easy to find our way to the lake admired by families and tourists. With most of our group settling in with ice cream and cold drinks, myself and my cameraphone companion set out to explore the views.
My recommendations are to prepare for the weather, plan ahead – lake or hike (or both?) and walk around as much as you can. We managed to find a restaurant next to the lake which meant we were able to watch a beautiful sunset with a beer in our hands.
Winter season – I will be back!
